I grew up in beautiful Perth and went straight to university after high school. After graduating university with a Bachelor of Commerce (Property) degree I explored a range of real estate industry roles from land acquisitions, to built form project management and commercial property management.
Although I enjoyed the analytical, problem solving nature of these commercial roles, and created streamlined processes to ensure efficiency, the work itself was ultimately very transactional. After taking some time out of the workforce to have children I realised my desire to return to the industry had wained.
Something was missing….
One day I came across a residential agency looking for agents to join their team. I’d previously contemplated selling houses, but timing and opportunity hadn’t aligned. This time was different and I leapt at the opportunity.
My first client was a young family looking to sell their home to chase the sun, travelling in a caravan around Western Australia.
By applying the skills and knowledge honed over my years in the industry I was able to craft a selling campaign that resulted in an incredible selling price – one that brought tears to their eyes! It was so meaningful to be able to use my expertise and love of property to make a real tangible difference to their life.
I knew then I wanted to help other home owners do the same.
This was my passion.
